Paul Evans Limited Edition Prints

Paul Evans is one of the most successful landscape painters at work in Britain today. His unique and original style has evolved over an artistic career of 45 years and reflects his infectious joy at recording and learning from nature. His highly individual watercolours, acrylics and etchings are inspired by East Anglia’s landscape and coast, Sussex Downland, the Kent Weald and Cornwall’s rugged coast and moorland.

Single-minded and meticulous Paul Evans has stayed faithful to his love of nature in all its amazing complexity, undisturbed by the chaos of human activity. With paint and brush Paul Evans captures quite places and the essence of the place and time. He has an extra ordinary ability to capture not only the visual scene but the smells, temperature and emotion sensation His ability to capture light in his paintings is exquisite and mesmerising, and brings an elusive quality to his work.

Born and raised in rural Sussex, Paul Evans developed a passion for nature at an early age, learning a great deal about the countryside from his grandparents who worked on the land. Paul Evans had an insatiable appetite to learn all there was to know about our birds, butterflies and plants in the countryside.
